Donna Robertson is an experienced committed teacher. She has earned her Bachelor of Music, ARCT and A.A. (Mus.) and plays professionally in the Victoria Symphony and other groups. She teaches violin, viola, piano, ensemble coaching and some theory.

Description

Donna Robertson is a member of the B.C. Registered Music Teahcers' Assoc.. Although her degree and diplomas are in performance, she has completed string and piano teaching courses at university and numerous other places ( Calgary; Edmonton; Langley; Stephen's Point, Wisconsin; Miami; Graz, Austria; and Stavanger, Norway). At the early levels of study her students work primarily in the Suzuki method. This involves learning to play first by ear and then branching out into a wider repetoire and note reading. Beginners (especially on violin and viola) have so many things to think about that it helps them to not be note reading in the first few lessons.

Student successes- spring 2011
Congratulaions to Isobel Glover for her award for her Bach Concerto in the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival and to Amanda Steinemann and Isobel Glover for their award for their duets in the festival. Also congratulations to those who did RCM exams and received first class honors.
